Tom Evans builds and sells fine wood canvas canoes, restores existing wood canvas canoes, and does assorted repairs. He also sells some canoe materials.

All work at T.R.Evans Canoes is done personally by Tom Evans. This ensures selection of finest materials, careful preparation of the components, and highest quality workmanship in the products.

For all his life Tom Evans has been associated with wood canvas canoes. He was introduced to them at an early age by his grandfather, worked several summers as a trip guide in the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area), and continues to use them. His years of experience with the technical aspects of these canoes began by doing repairs and expanded into reconstruction work. He has been building these canoes from scratch and several years ago made this his full time work.
